Hello, my name is Paul Vickery. I am the owner of mydrivinginstructor.com, founded in January 2006, providing driving lessons in the South East of London. I have been driving independently since 1997, and teaching driving lessons since 2003.
I am a Grade 6 Driving Standards Agency (DSA) Approved Driving Instructor (ADI) holding the green licence. This is the highest grade, and means I am fully qualified, approved, and teach "to a very high standard" as stated by the Driving Standards Agency (DSA). I can help teach you the following:
Controls Lesson (For Beginners)
Assessment/Refresher Driving Lessons
Intensive Driving Courses
Theory and Practical Driving Tips
Pass Plus Driving Course
My pass rate is currently 68.8%. The UK National Average pass rate is 42.8% (excluding Northern Ireland). So, you are 26% more likely to pass with me, compared to the UK National Average Driving Instructor. There's no denying it, it is a tough test to pass. Some people insist on going for it unprepared. This is one of the reasons why the UK average Practical Driving Test pass rate is so low. Other factors, might include nerves or a lack of confidence on the day. Therefore, in order to pass the Practical Driving Test, you must demonstrate competent driving skills throughout the test to your Driving Test Examiner, and prove to him or her that you are ready to receive your Full Driving Licence. Many people say this is the point you start learning to drive. So, you should analyse your driving during driving lessons and after passing your Driving Test, in order to drive safely for life when help may not be to hand. Whoever you decide to learn with, make sure your Driving School or Driving Instructor explains in detail how to prepare for the Theory Test or Practical Test.
In order to pass the Practical Test, you are allowed:
15 Minor Driving Faults
No Serious Driving Faults
No Dangerous Driving Faults.
Your Driving Instructor or Driving School should explain what this means in more detail. To help prepare you for your Theory and Practical Driving Tests, you will need a good Driving Instructor who will point out all your driving faults worthy of mentioning, help you to analyse the driving faults, and encourage you to remedy the driving faults independently in order to pass your Driving Test with ease. Your Driving Instructor should be patient, friendly and be able to encourage you when things get a bit overwhelming.
All driving lessons are on a one2one basis. Pick-Up is from your home address, and you will be dropped back home by the end of the lesson. If you're wondering whether I cover your area, have a look at the South-East London post codes below. If your post code is not listed, or you wish to discuss anything else, please email

In the mean time, feel free to browse my website and check you agree with my-terms. Feedback is greatly appreciated.
Hope to hear from you soon.
